Abbeyshrule airfield

Abbeyshrule Airport was opened in the early 1970s, having moved from a nearby grass strip that started in the 1950s. This has developed a significant aviation heritage in the small Longford village, and has turned the airport into being one of the most vibrant general aviation communities in the country.
